Also patented the technology for a biometric ID card in 2009 (before Apple iPhone 5s with fingerprint sensor 2014), as recognized the need for off-grid accessibility, as well as functionality, for Disaster/Emergency Relief, and for combating national ID fraud crime, within a broad cross-section of industries, and organizations, within the private and public sectors. Served at the United Nations CISO Group from 2012 – 2015 as a Senior Security Officer for the global implementation of the “One UN ID card” a Biometric, password-free access card for employees and refugees, which was implemented by the UNHCR that is based in Geneva, Switzerland. Patent holder of over 60 Global biometric security patents — including the US, Canada, U.K., E.U: France, Germany, Switzerland; China, Japan and Israel. Holds a Ph.D. in Cyber security from Hansei University, and is a remote Professor of Smart City Security at Sogang University in South Korea & lives in Toronto, ON.
